At that time Joakim the high priest and the council of the Israelites who lived in Jerusalem came to witness the good things that the Lord had done for Israel, to see Judith, and to wish her well.
But they that returned conquerors to Bethulia, brought with them all things that were theirs, so that there was no numbering of their cattle, and beasts, and all their moveables, insomuch that from the least to the greatest all were made rich by their spoils.
The High Priest Joakim and the Council of Israel came from Jerusalem to see for themselves what great things the Lord had done for his people and to meet Judith and congratulate her.
Then the high priest Joakim and the senate of the Israelites who lived in Jerusalem came to see for themselves the good things that the Lord had done for Israel, and to meet and congratulate Judith.
Joakim the high priest and the elders of the Israelites who dwelt in Jerusalem came to witness for themselves the wonderful things that the Lord had done for Israel, and to meet Judith and offer her their congratulations.
Then the high priest Joakim and the elders of the Israelites who lived in Jerusalem came to witness the good things that the Lord had done for Israel, and to see Judith and to wish her well.

And they that were over-comers, in (or after) their pursuit (re)turned again to the city (of) Bethulia/But they that were overcomers, (re)turned again to Bethulia, and they took away with them all (the) things whatever were of those Assyrians, so that there was no number in sheep, and beasts, and in all (the) moveable things of them, so that from the least unto the most, all (the) men of Israel were made rich of (or by) the preys. [They forsooth that had been overcomers, be turned again to Bethulia, all things whatever were of them, that took away with them, so that there was no number in field beasts, and in house beasts, and in all the movable things of them, that from the least unto the much all were made rich of the prey-takings of them.]
